Famous Movie Quotes
Some housekeeping – turns out that doing two newsletters (this and Flop Secrets for my podcast The Flop House) is a bigger lift than I expected while also running the pod and attempting to finish a screenplay to a deadline (not, unfortunately, a deadline for anyone paying for said script... but at least a deadline to show it to someone who might show it to some people, that could, if the stars align and the world not collapse in the meanwhile, result in something somewhere, someday. And that's what passes for optimism in the year 2025!).
I write quickly, but finding the right moments to write has been harder of late. ("The Right Moments to Write," starring Geoffrey Wright, directed by Edgar Wright.) So I needed to tweak something.
This isn't an apology – I've been told I do too many – but an explanation of a little reconfiguring 'round Special Interests way. I've been sending out these little "Famous Movie Quotes" comics on my off-weeks, but have been erratic in posting (while the essays remain fully on schedule). So, in the interests of not going insane, I'm downsizing to just the bimonthly essays, and this week – for a little breathing room, while on this script – I'm giving you the FULL BACKLOG of "Famous Movie Quotes" for any FMQ fans out there. (And if there are any fans, don't worry – I like doing these, so they'll probably still show up as the essay-ending cartoon from time to time.)
FAMOUS MOVIE QUOTES!
Who can forget these iconic lines from cinema history?
